Dear Parents,
We need your help urgently to make Job Shadow Day a success! Please do
join our fun and hardworking band of parents and make a difference.
- In the life of a student – job shadowing
helps a student explore career options and plan for the future.
It shows students who have never understood the point of school
the exciting connection between education and a job - and is
valuable for all students no matter what their academic standing. Studies
show that students become more academically motivated after experiencing
job shadowing.
- In your life – being part of a team that
helps with creating a positive and nurturing relationship between
young people and caring adults will definitely enhance your own
life too …in
just a few short hours of your time
Not convinced? Job shadowing requests for volunteers’ children
are considered first, as a perk for all your hard work. Training

Here are the open volunteer positions:
- Publicity Committee: to write bulletins for students, school
magazines, help publicity through the career center and different
classes, video bulletins, to create posters and flyers etc.
- Host recruiter/liaison Committee: everything
connected with employer hosts (help with host confirmation,
contracts, packets, student info to hosts, follow-up evaluations
etc.)
- Registration Committee: are student liaisons
to hosts, match students to hosts, create orientation packets
for students, send reminders etc.
