them and tons of insight on what I wanted to do in the future.
Going through this definitely helped me more accurately define

Job shadowing is an academically motivating activity designed to give
kids the unique opportunity of an up-close look at the world of work
and provide the answer to the commonly asked question, “Why do I have
to learn this?"
Job Shadow was formed in 1998 by America's Promise,
Junior Achievement, the U.S. Department of Education, and the U.S.
Department of Labor. The goal was to help young people explore
firsthand the skills and education needed to succeed in today’s and
future job markets, and to encourage the development of relationships between
students and caring adults. Given the current economy, students need these
valuable experiences more than ever.
The Monta Vista PTA and
local businesses provide this program
to the students. It is held each year in early February and has
garnered high praise from parents, students and business people
alike.
